Description
These compounds can be CNC-cut according to customer drawings with minimal tolerances aimed at containing thermal acoustic bridges. Depending on the space available and the requirements, the compound can be made in different thicknesses and densities in order to achieve the best balance between weight, performance and price.
A double-sided adhesive can be provided on each compound to speed up installation or an aluminum film can be applied in order to improve fire behavior and vapor barrier function. The metal coating also helps to improve the appearance and facilitate cleaning. For special applications where greater protection of the insulation is required, the coating can be done with a glass fabric with a bare, aluminum or silicone coated finish.
The main products that are used to make this type of compound in the specific application are:
- Reflex-Ite (soundproofing) or Dite (vibration damping), which constitute the acoustic mass
- The Railfiber T 2SL, Isolimpia R-O or Fiberform 62T 2SL (polyester fiber felts), which constitute the soundproofing thermal insulation
- Glass wool and rock wool (mineral wools) or melamine can also be used as an alternative to polyester fiber felt.
